Pinterest Challenge - Day 11 - EEW! Not so clean cookie sheets

Day 11 Pinspiration - Click here for a link to my pin

Gotta give credit where credit is due - this pin came from One Good Thing.

My Version - Not So Clean Cookie Sheets

Okay...I have a confession...I am tired!  Tired of blogging, tired of working out, tired of cooking, tired of giving my muchkin a bath a night --- It has just been one of those days.  BUT I am keeping my commitment to this 30 Day Challenge so here it goes.

After taking pictures of food on my cookie sheets for this challenge I am totally grossed out.  How could I be cooking for my family on those sheets with all that gunk?  They are BAD and I've honestly never deep cleaned them.  They go in the dishwasher after every use but no heavy scrubbing.  I saw this pin a while back and never pinned it but went looking for it a few days ago.

Here are the cookie sheets before:

With the Magic Cleaner (Hydrogen Peroxide & Baking Soda):  The first one I had just put it on, the second one is it fizzing.

And after 3 hours....womp, womp :(

Well...it started to work...but like me must have gotten tired.  I was impressed that it took some of it off but it is definitely going to need more baking soda and peroxide and more time.  I am going to attempt this again this weekend - I used all the baking soda I had.  So I will update the post after the 2nd attempt.

Don't forget - One lucky reader will win a $30 gift card to Target.  All you have to do is follow my blog (click on the “Join my site” button under My Followers) and comment on one of my 30 day Pinterest Challenge posts.  Each comment will get you one entry for the gift card…so comment one time or every day.

  1. I was really hoping this was going to work. I think I'm just going to give in and buy new cookie sheets - mine look like yours, maybe worse. At least you know they are well used.

    1. I was really hoping too...I think I use mine on a daily basis. I may just have to break down and buy some new ones. I'm going to give it one more shot this weekend.

  3. I am with Megan - I love reading about those who test the pinterest stuff. I laugh so flippin hard at the "Nailed it" pics. LOL ~ I have tested a few things -mostly recipes and they turn decent - I also tried some stain cleaner made from vinegar and baking soda - it was "meh". I should really buy new cookies sheets too, but my family likes eating dirt - LOL.

    1. Hehe Melanie...my family never complains about the gunk and I honestly didn't realize how bad they were until I looked at some pics I had taken for the blog. I love the pinterest gone bad stories too and I've had some pretty ugly, disgusting ones. My hubby hates the phrase "I saw this recipe on Pinterest"

  4. I was really hoping this one worked. Like Megan, I just buy new ones. I hate anything that has to do with dishes and scrubbing :/
