My Version - Pepperoni Bread with Garlic Butter Dipping Sauce
Sorry for the preview post yesterday but here is the real deal!
Friday nights are typically pizza (and wine) nights at the Dowdy house. Our favorite pizza is Papa Johns specifically because of the Garlic Butter Sauce - yum! But we had a busy night planned, Mike worked late, Addi went to Parent's Night Out at school and I went to Octoberfest with some friends so I wanted something a little lighter.
I pulled out my old (circa 1994) cookbook "Incredible Edibles" from a Junior High Cooking Camp (yes they used to call it Junior High not Middle School). And decided to make Pepperoni Bread and Garlic Dipping Sauce for dipping.
Don't forget - One lucky reader will win a $30 gift card to Target. All you have to do is follow my blog (click on the “Join my site” button under My Followers) and comment on one of my 30 day Pinterest Challenge posts. Each comment will get you one entry for the gift card…so comment one time or every day.

Look at that handwritng...so teenager! Here is the EASY recipe for both:
1 loaf of frozen bread dough thawed (Bridgeford)
1/2 cup Mozzerela Cheese
1/2 cup Pepperoni (I used mini pepperoni)
2 Tablespoons Margarine
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Pinch of Salt
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Roll out your thawed bread dough on a floured surface into a rectangular shape.
Sprinkle pepperoni and mozzarella cheese down the center (leave room to fold it all over).
Roll the dough carefully and pinch dough together where the sides meet. Spray your cookie sheet with cooking spray and place your loaf seam side down on cookie sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes. In the meantime, make your Garlic Butter Sauce. Put your margarine, garlic powder and salt in a microwave safe bowl and heat in 15-30 second intervals.
After baking for 20 minutes, brush the top of the Pepperoni Bread with the Garlic Butter Sauce and pop it back in the oven for 2 minutes.
Let it cool for a few minutes then cut and serve with the Garlic Butter Dipping Sauce!
Look at that cheesy goodness :) This great with a green salad (Cesar above) and is perfect for a quick weeknight or weekend meal. This would be great with any of your favorite pizza toppings stuffed inside. My hubby even said this is one of the best things I've ever made!
You know you really hit the jackpot when your hubby pays high compliments!
